Strategic leadership support

Care Inspectorate staff work with thousands of managers and leaders in frontline care services to support improvement day in, day out. A specialist Health and Wellbeing Improvement team provide improvement support in a variety of ways to the social care sector in order to embed good practice in aspects of health and well-being.

Supporting leaders in care services

Leadership development

Developed initially for NHS boards, this programme of work develops the knowledge and skills needed for effective board level leadership and governance of quality improvement. This extension of the programme to Integration Joint Boards is currently being scoped.

Improvement Network

‘Power as a health and social justice issue’ is a short web-based animation has been developed through a collaboration between Glasgow Centre for Population Health (GCPH) and NHS Health Scotland.

 

This animation is a useful tool to help people working in the public and third sectors to increase understanding of the importance of power in shaping social and health inequalities and encourage them to consider how they can help support communities to have more power.

  • Facilitation of participative strategic planning processes
